about me and this site
I was born and grew up in upstate New York and attended Bible college in Toronto, ON. After four years and graduation I stayed in TO for two more years, then moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire while waiting for my Canadian permanent residence application. After two years in NH I moved back to Toronto, where I'm part of the Newfrontiers Newlife church plant out of The King's Family Church in Oakville.
I'm a Christian, basically because God kept pursuing me and he's so good that I'm won over. My life story is a testimony to his persistent love and grace. My highest desire is to know God, love God, and love people.
I'm passionate about photography. I enjoy graphic design, web development, and writing. I adore cats, and in my spare time I can often be found hunting through thrift stores for vintage clothing. I am addicted to knowledge and spend large chunks of my time surfing the internet in pursuit of it. I'm basically an introvert but love people as well. I'm not girly but I like to knit.
Why this site? When I'm thinking about something, I write about it, and it helps to have a place to put it. I blogged anonymously with Blogger for a while, but for various reasons it was time to "come out of the closet" and write under my own name. I'm learning Drupal, an open-source content management system, and this is a good way to experiment.
Why the site name? "Plousia" is a Koine (biblical) Greek adjective meaning "rich". A good friend applied it to me once and it's become my online identity, useful because it's never taken :)
